an ultrasound is the best way, but cannot always be fool-proof. however, myths are very fun. i read one where if youre urine looks abrnormally orange or more darker than usual, you are having a boy. another : if you are carrying low you have a boy. i didnt show much in the early stages, but people told me i was carrying low and said, "OH IT COULD BE A BOY!" and yes, my urine was more orange than usual and I did have a boy. I wouldnt reccommend believing in any of these old wives tales, but they are definitely entertaining... :) i loved them!

That is very true haha, I am wanting a girl this time because I already have a boy and he is a wild child. Boys calm down when they get older and girls start to get a little carried away. Girls aren't always cute, though they have a lot more of a selection on baby girl clothes. lol

i dont know if its true or not - i've heard the savoury / sweet one - which basically if you're craving savoury food - boy, sweet food girl. I actuall did an online quiz to try and determine the sex which was based on old wives tales. The result was quite funny i thought - it told 50% boy, 50% girl - at the time i took the test i didnt know i was pregnant with twins - and boy & girl!!

All of those myths are just myths. They aren't always right. Some times they are. An ultrasound is a more definite way of knowing you are having a boy or a girl. Good luck!

I don't believe so much in the old wives tales either. But some of them are true. I've never heard about the crackers/heavy foods thing tho. I've heard about the salty and sweet.

There are plenty of old wives tales that can provide heaps of amusement but they are not true.
The only way to know for sure is give birth,
Ultrasound are generally accurate but not always so you've still got to be a bit careful

it's all myths and old wives tales. I heard very weird things but they're all not true. You can't be sure till u do the ultrasound and even unltrasound isn't always 100% right. u will be very sure once u give birth hehe.
I'm 20 wks, doctor told me it's a boy! yippeeee! but she said we will be more certain by end of 5th mo

The only, well it is not foolproof, the most reliable predictor is an ultrasound. You can always keep track of your babies heartbeats at doc visits. The faster the heatbeat..more likely a girl, slower....more than likely a boy!! Good luck!!

I don't believe the old myths about baby girls and boys. Do an ultra sound screening and they can detect if it's a boy or girl.
