All one can do to "fix" a regret is just learn from it so that future actions are wiser.
I have some things in my past that I am really quite ashamed of, but I have mostly learned from them. Part of getting older is attaining wisdom. I'm no saint, but I'm a far better person at 45 than I was at 25.
One of the things I did numerous times was steal money. The people are either dead or long gone from my life, so the only amends I can make is through my current practice of regularly making financial contributions to charities like social service agencies -- I not only feel [or hope] that I've cleared up a lot of my bad karma, but it just really feels great to help others. I do it as anonymously as possible, as it's best to keep ego out of the way [i.e. do it without expectations of gratitude].

When I find myself thinking of any regret, I turn my thoughts to the things I've learned and the opportunities that are now mine. Even if they aren't what I would have preferred. There is always a lesson and sometimes painful. I try to look for the lesson and focus on it instead of what might have been.........we never know what tomorrow may bring!

I can not predict the future or change the past. I do know that there are some major things I can work on which will hopefully allow a positive change towards a past regret.

I lost a really good friend in college because I was too prideful to admit I was wrong. It was petty and selfish and I lost one of the best friends I could have ever known. But I've learned and have grown so much since then.

Yes there is but I don't think there is a screw driver big enough to fix it.
