the voice OF those very people. (Moveon org. "Betray Us" advertisement)? They work FOR us, supposedly, and WE have spoken!

I agree that is not the job of the senate to b*tch at groups or people for using their first amendment rights. They have no right to specifically reprimand anybody for saying anything. It isn't like ten times worse isn't said by the radical right wing on the radio just about every day. Oh and lets not just forget about those swift-boat veterans ads during the 2004 election year too. By the presidents and senates logic shouldn't they have been scolded by Bush and the senate as well for defaming another veteran. Honestly this is the stupidest thing I've ever seen. Isn't it going to also have the opposite effect than what they want anyway, because now it is going to be plastered all over the place again so even more can see and read it.

Then there is the fact that the Senate shouldn't do something like that. It is almost as though they want to limit freedom of the press if they don't print only what they like. How dumb of a move is this? I feel like sending an angry letter to the senator from my state who did vote for it, because it is just idiotic. I don't care what anyone says this was wrong.

I've never given any money to that anti-american organization. Since when has moveon.org sent out a questionaire on what they shouldd fight or who they should attack? If you really think this organization is non-biased, then you have a lot of growing up to do. And by the way, the only reason why they are attacking Petreaus is because they didn't like what he said. Hell, does it really matter? Liberals will automatically disagree with anything positive regardless in order to benefit politically. That's the way the game in played these days. That goes for Republicans too.

I don't know. MoveOn's a non-issue. They are a third-party PAC, and don't sway my vote one way or the other. And last time I checked, they have the right to say whatever they want, as does every citizen, with the fear of government censorship.

The Congress wasted time, money, and free speech doing what they did. Sure, the ad was wrong, but people just need to move on (no pun intended, though excellent placement).

Because Moveon.org is a Clinton based extremist group that doesnt speak for 10% of the American people let alone all of them. And they libeled a General supported by both political parties before he even had a chance to be heard.

More importantly, how do you support a Presidential candidate who wont condemn attacks on the generals they are trying to command?

Were in the hell did you get the idea that the Senate or the House of Reps. works or us. They work for lobbyists and themselves. They vote on their pay raises, they have government paid healthcare. Their only concern is to get elected and reelected by handing crumbs back to the people and repaying those corporations and lobby machines that give them the money needed to run a campaign.

MoveOn is not a credible source for me and I still live, breathe, and participate in a red state.

Leave it to the Republicans to waste time and our money on a non-issue. They should be charged with an ethics violation.

Move on.org is a radical hate filled web site. Paying attention to what they say is wrong. George Soros pays big bucks to them to spout these messages.
