Hinduism because of its noble tolerance has become a victim of some mean politicians who day in and day out abuse it for personal gain. Something more to this question! Do not you feel from past bad experience with some seasoned oldies that are notorious for their tongue wagging against opposition and religions - an old age leachiest habit – that the age of retirement rules applicable to Government employees also should be made applicable to these run-out septuagenarians and octogenarians. It may perhaps serve India from its present rot.

I don't think any one specifically has spoken against Hinduism per se but may be on some specific issues, events or personalities. That's fine and within their rights. The problem with many Hindus is they keep forgetting that Hinduism is more a way of life than strictly a religion. In the present case,it may be heartening to remember that no body really seriously believes politicians,so why bother. They can go and screw themselves for all we should care.

That questionable man talked about is an erratic vagabond who did bad to Hindu temples that fed him in his youth. If he has retired at 60 as contemplated, he would long back been in the company of Tamil Terrorists; but he helped them by being in Government. Thus both ways, such persons become diabolical.
Hinduism is so confident of itself that it does not need conversion to strengthen it; it thrives more on self-examination and self-emancipation;even in the face of criticism and attack, both psychological and physical, the reaction will be just minimal, because people who profess Hinduism know very well that everything is to lead its own logical conclusion; if any one volunteers to stem any rot, one will be falling into the trap of self-ego, the prevention of which is the essence of Hinduism; hence, in a sense, Hinduism should have only a few, who will exactly follow the principles , but not masses, who will turn it into a commercial bargain every time, one worships a God or visits a Temple. Biting remarks always betray 'libido' in the person making them and it is a psychological aberration. Jawaharlal Nehru is the man who started India-biting by writing wrong in his works.

Hidusism is based on thousands of years of " Sanatan Dharma", the pernnial dharma which is ageless and has survuved attackns on it by various neo-religious cults as well as new religions that have since come about over last many years. Chritianity, Islam, Buddhism, renaissance of Arya Samaj and many other so-called reformers have attacked Hinduism.

But so what? Hinduism has survived becuase of its ever evolvong nature, broad spectrum appeal, toplerance, ability of accomodate and respect any and all opinions even if divergenclty opposite to itself.

That's the greatness of Hindusim.

Do not worry about the likes of cheap politicians like Karunanidhi who earned his bread writing screenplays and dialogues for mythological films and plays.

Your suggestion that "the age of retirement rules applicable to Government employees also should be made applicable to septuagenarians and octogenarians" is worthy of praise.
Leaders of the Hindutva who are bringing the religion and religious sentiments, so frequently, would then be forced by the youth to go on 'Vanaprastha' and let others lead the nation.
Lastly, tolerance demands that we respect the views of Athiests and members of other faiths also to ensure emotional integration and national unity.

Hindus of the present day are hardly religious in any aspect. No one stands up for their releigion. We spit on ourselves and we have become totally impotent collectively. Rabid muslims rally around terrorists and talk about human rights for antinationals.
Christians openly have perfected the art of conversions for money.
Hindus are busy chasing their dreams, they have no time for their culture or ethics or family.
This is Kalyug at its zenith.
Its time Hindustanis united and drove these degenerate politicians into inceneration.

It is not against Hinduism. The criticism is against the Aryan concepts of God and worship. When they questioned the superstitions followed in the name of God, religious people resisted the same way.. So Periyar started telling that there is no GOD. The same is following now.
