Yep, Hannibal Lecter in Hannibal Rising.
Man, Hannibal's aunt was fine as heck.

If a movie is good, the villain is someone you can sympathize with... because really, no one is ALL good or ALL bad. Everyone has their reasons. Hitler wanted to be a painter, but the critics told him he sucked, so he went to plan B. Nobody just wakes up and says, "Hey! I think I'll be evil!"
Plus I usually feel more for the person who doesn't get their way.

More than once. I can't mention the movies but as said above Monster is a good example, I caught part of that film tonight. Pulp Fiction was one where you could share the opinion of the characters as well. I would not call it sympathy on Pulp Fiction though.

Okay. I thought you meant reality. Check out Dog Day Afternoon with Al Pacino. Otherwise, I guess I gotta watch more fantasy.

Yeah, "Secret Window" with Johnny Depp. Poor, crazy, messed up, wreck-of-a-writer, cheated on Johnny Depp.

Yes, it happens to me all the time. I always find myself secretly rooting for the villain, especially in those cheesy slasher movies where the victims are SO STUPID you just want to see them get obliterated.
