I think they are too pricey. I mean, that stuff is liked \by children and it shouldnt cost that much.....

In the reatil book shop I enquired about the price of the Deathly Hallows and the price nearly scared me.....
It was more than double the price of some extremely good books....

Its seems like Taxing...

It really depends on where you buy them. If you buy them from Amazon.com the price is well below publisher price. So you really are getting a good deal. Also if you ask around Im sure you could find someone that would sell you some at a decent price.

no it just depends on the store....but it's a big book and the ink, machinery, paper, and everything else involved to sell (including JK rowling's salary) they have to make a profit...

and the 7th one they actually loss a few billion dollars cause it was so cheap.... it was suppose to be sold for $30 but some stores (cause of competition) lowered it too $10...think of how much they lost

i live in Malaysia..when i compare the prices of the Harry Potter books here in Malaysia, with the prices in England or America...i find that Malaysia bookstores are practically selling it for double or triple the price sold in England or America...with that comparison id say it's damn expensive here..but had i been in England or America, i wouldn't complain!!

These are huge corporations... it's just supply and demand. You can vote against their high prices by reading something else.
