i have been having contractions now for 2 hours and for the past 10 minutes it has been constant pain in my back and lower abdomen and then it gets worse with the contractions....i want to go to labor and delivery so bad but im afraid they will turn me away since they are 8-10 minutes apart and not 3-5...should i just go ahead and go or wait it out :(

I'd go ahead and go... that far along.. I think they'll keep you. Call the hospital L& D first.

GO! I had contractions 10-15 minutes apart, with a lot of lower back and hip pain, decided to go to the hospital and bam, baby was born 1 hour later!

Constant pain while having contractions should definitely be checked out. Prolonged contractions can cause uterine rupture. Better safe than sorry! Good luck!

i would go---you never know, on the way to L & D, your water could break or the contractions could come faster...like someone else said, Call ahead and let them know you are coming in.

Take a walk and help those contractions along. It will also help dialate and become efaced. Good Luck hun.
