as a mom of 2 and a wife of 11 years, I say all parents love their children more than their spouse. Children are irreplaceable. Not that I'd ever kick my hub to the curb, or he me, but our children are most important and precious to us.
And obviously there are different loves. You have an unconditional love for your children as to where you can fall out of love with a spouse. There is a love I have for my husband that, thank God, I do not have for my kids. That would be so wrong, and illegal I believe.

As a mother and a spouse, I would hope my hubby loves our sons more than me. If a choice had to be made between the survival of my sons or me by my hubby, he had better not hesitate at all but choose them over me to survive. The children are always more important than the parents......
