Thanks everyone. His b-day is nearing and every year I get close to it and his annoying memory pops in my head. Will it ever go away?

I don't intend to forget anything or anybody. . .doesn't mean I want them back. . .sometimes I remember the good times and some times I remember just how bad it was. . .and smile. . .surely I learned something worth remembering.

Occasionally, someone from my past will cross my mind. I don't make very many enemies, so most are still considered friends, even though some of them I don't see them very often, or not at all. I live in a small community right outside of New Orleans, so I still see most of the people I've known over the years. The rest of them, I keep in touch with by e-mail, or phone, less maybe a handful..

Yes, I think about my husband who I am seperated from. I heard from him a week ago after not hearing from him for a year. I know I am better off without him because of the problems we had. I do not want to go through them again. This is what keeps me from ever going back with him after talking to him.

When times are tough, I try to count my blessings instead of dwelling on the past. I hope you have a better day tomorrow...sounds like you're in a rough spot tonight. Good luck!

Yes. There was a woman I thought I was madly in love with. I had a low paying job and now know that I would never have been able to take care of her and her daughter. If she wouldn't have broken up with me, I would have lived a poor life. But because I didn't have that responsibility I was able to quit my job for a way higher paying one. If I had been with her I would never had the guts to quit.

well it depends. i lost my father suddenly last year and i miss him tremendously. so, i always think of him when times are tough (as well as amazing) and know i will never been in a better place. but then, i think about my awful old roommate and definitely know i'm in a better place because i'm not around her. it just depends. memories are what we have to cherish forever. life is short and i think we are all blessed with every person we interact with.

Yes, I think about people from my past but I know I'm in love with my husband and never wish I would have stayed with anyone else.

Yes, and then I realize how lucky I am to have the hubby I have even though I can't stand him at times(only when we are arguing).
