I want to know how much it would probably cost to get a small vegtable garden set up with a Drip Water Irrigation system and where I would get the supplies and what supplies. Thanks

Small? A couple hundred square feet?

Doesn't take much. Get a few 10's of feet of 1/2" dripline. Its $0.70/ft where I go. You can get a roll of 500 feet for like $20.

Emmiter choices are wide. They run like 10 cents apiece. You can get 'em in bags of 100. Probably more than enough. But, you will need more than enough because they break, fall off, get clogged.

There are kits, of many sizes and for many types of uses. They usually are fine, but...It's not my way to do things.

Maybe what will work for you is "t-tape". You an put a connector (female hose end) on it and just leave it along your rows. Then just screw it to the hose or faucet. Very simple.

Here's a link to a place I like. They have lots of info. http://www.groworganic.com/cgy_413.html

Peaceful Valley Farm Supply. They have actual people on the phones if you need help.

Another place is "Dripworks". I don't have the link handy tho. They sell mostly drip stuff. More kits than you could use. Many things to ponder.

But using a hose and sprinkler isn't all that bad. Large drops of water, not a fine spray.

Get as many catalogs as you can you compare. Or maybe just one good one. Free and informative.
