One in three Americans feel they are not living the "American Dream," and nearly half of them believe it is unattainable. In a way, the American Dream is also an "American Nightmare." There are millions of people, not just Americans, who work very hard every day and never have enough money nor the basic necessities. In context, the American Dream of Of Mice and Men is clearly expressed through the following three passages: Curly's wife's acting career, Lennie and George's dream of having their own ranch, and Crook's realization of the American Dream being nothing more than a myth.

Not really a grammar issue....but take a look at the appropriateness of your third sentence. The first two sentences refer specifically to the American dream and stats that reflect the opinions of Americans. Suddenly the third sentence pulls in the rest of the world. Then the paragraph goes on to speak to the American dream as reflected in the novel. It just seems like that sentence is out of place and needs some attention.
Also if you read the phrase "...the American Dream of Of Mice..." seems awkward with the "of OF" portion. Perhaps you can read it out loud and see how it sounds to you.
Good luck on your paper. And make sure to cite your stats.

One in three Americans feel they are not living the "American Dream". Nearly half of them believe it is unattainable. In a way, the American Dream is also an "American Nightmare". There are millions of people, not just Americans, who work very hard every day, yet never have enough money nor the basic necessities.
We see this in the story "Of Mice and Men".
If you take into consideration: Curly's wife's acting career, Lennie and George's dream of having their own ranch, and Crook's realization of the American Dream being nothing more than a myth, you see that we are all striving for something more.
Good book, but it's been to many years since I read it. At the end add your own detail. It needs to be a little more specific in how they realized this and how it relates to us now.

Give an example as to how the american dream is also a nightmare directly after the statement. Such as, having a car, a mortgage, a university degree and a family are sure ways to lock a person into debt, ensuring they must work for all their days. Then I'd segue into the not having enough money by saying that this is a world wide problem, not only American, as there are millions, of people who do not have enough money for the necessities of life. Such as housing, food, medical care, etc...
Then, when you're citing the story Of Mice and Men, be more specific. Such as: John Steinbeck's novel, Of Mice and Men portrays the facile state of the American dream in numerous ways. One is through his use of Curly's would-be actress wife (using her name would be good)...explain a bit of her struggle in the plot. Another way that Mr. Steinbeck illustrates this point is ......(put in what happens to Lennie and George on their pursuit of the ranch dream) . Lasly, I'll cite his use of Crook's realization (what was it) in which he clearly declares that the American dream is a mythical beast at best.

First and probly most important is you need to underline or italicize Mice and Man because it is a novel in it's own right. Youy use quotation marks with articles, essays, songs, poems, short stories, usually publishedin a anthology. book chapter, and art medias.
The context makes this look like in introduction paragraph for a longer essay. You need to define Steinback's image of the American dream to your reader and tell them these are three instances give example of the narrators view of the American dream.
If this is a one paragraph assignment you must add proofs of how these three instances show us the narrators view and define what is meant by the American Dream in the novel.

You could cut "of them" from the first sentence.
The third sentence still sounds vague to me. What about this: ...who work hard and never experience the rags-to-riches ideal. (I just think it needs to be connected more to the Dream, and the American Dream often includes rags-to-riches).
I still think your thesis statement isn't strong enough. Maybe it's the passive voice: "...is clearly expressed through...." Yes, "Of Mice and Men" addresses the American Dream, but where is your argument? The Crooks example comes the closest to an argument.

Nice opening paragraph!!
Leads into the other paragraph you posted. The only comment here is:
In context, the American Dream in Of Mice and Men
That way you don't have 2 ofs together.
You do have a nice style!! Good luck on your paper.

Sounds fine to me, but the title "Of Mice and Men" needs the quote marks. And in the sentence with "enough money nor the basic necessities", change the nor to or, and/or change "never" to "neither" to make it come out as "neither have enough money nor the basic ..."
