My fellow republicans,
Last night I kissed a man named Terry and I learned something. We are wrong about gays. I was wrong and I taught my boy wrong. It turns out that being gay is not a choice. Trust me I tried and it did'nt work.

The members of the Log Cabin Republicans did'nt choose to be gay but they did choose to be republican. Even though we used bashing them as the backbone of our last presidential election they're still sticking with us. My God, these people love America as much as they love brunch.

You know what else is a choice? Being a democrat. Democrats weren't born democrats they chose to be democrats.

Do you want manufacturers of super tight t shirts to go out of business? Would you foresake Plato and Socrates?

I'm not telling you to stop hating. I just want you to hate where hate deserves. Hate we're using on the gays is hate we could be using on the democrats. We should'nt discriminate against gays we should get more of them to be Republican.

In the words of Abraham Lincol the founding father of the Republican party "a house divided itself can't stand"

This was from American Dad.

LMAO! You freakin' nailed it!

Being gay isn't a choice, being a Democrat on the other hand is a completely different story. Then again the same can be said about being Republican .(It is also a choice, albeit an even poorer choice than choosing to side with the Democratic party.)

To Miss Kitty: I'm pretty sure that this was your 1st time actually using that grayish mass inside your skull; while I'll give you a couple of points for effort, may I suggest next time you enter a coherent thought instead of an idiotic one?

To Jon: What is the "traditional homosexual lifestyle"? LOL, all of my gay friends lead different, albeit not very extremely provocative lives.

Jeremy R: I think you ought to read the Bible yourself from cover-to-cover and really learn what it means to actually be a sodomite.

There is a difference between having an inherent tendency or preference for something, and choosing to act on that tendency or preference.

There is a great deal of evidence that shows that some people are genetically prone to certain behavioral disorders, and also that a tendency toward violent behavior is hereditary (murderers, rapists and habitual assaulters were far more likely to have families with similar histories, even when there had never been any contact with those family members). I am NOT infering that homosexuality is similar to violent actions, but only giving an example of other tendencies that have been shown to be inherent, but are still considered to be unnaceptable.

Just because a person has an inherent urge to do something does not mean that he or she should act on that urge, or that other people should tolerate or accept their choice to act on that urge. The fact that a tendency or preference may be inherent does not satisfy the question of whether or not it is right or wrong, moral or immoral, ethical or unethical, and does not satisfy the question if should be tolerated, protected, scorned or prohibited by society.

Now, all I can say to you is:

Prove it.

By the way, I'm very much in favor of not discriminating against people based on their sexual preference. Far from it, in fact. What you do with your own body on your own dime and your own time is just peachy with me, since it doesn't affect me one iota.

Hate is the very thing that keeps hateful ideologies afloat. Take that away from the Republicans, and they lose their impetus.

Be that as it may, no one can prove whether it is a choice or if it is genetic. The question remains that there ARE gay Americans, and to deny them the rights given to them by the Constitution is clearly not American.

However, I do find you to be a bit sheep-like. You want the prom queen to take notice of you despite the fact that she has already told you that you are a little worm. My advice: go where your supporters lie. And it's NOT in the Republican Party.

You can be a Democrat and be fiscally conservative at the same time. There used to be plenty of those people before Reagan's Wet Dream of Religious Nincompoopery came into being. You can still be one. Be what you want, but never join those who would oppress you and your kind. It smacks of very badly thought out sycophancy.

You are right.

But you want to know what else is a fact?

That a straight man will always find it disgusting the site or even the thought of two men going at it, AND THAT DOES NOT MEAN THEY ARE A CLOSET CASE OR EVEN HOMOPHOBIC!!!!!!!!

I have many friends that are gay, and I understand their attraction to men, but I simply can't avoid throwing up a little bit in my mouth when I think about what they must do behind closed doors.

Its possible that there is a mutated gene that could cause a person to be attracted to the same sex. BUT, living the traditional homosexual life style is a choice. This is the way I see it. If someone is an alcoholic, do you encourage them to keep drinking? Hey, their genetically inclined to be an alcoholic, thats what they are. Shouldnt they be what they are? just a thought.

Your statement is debatable.
Never the less, even if it is the result of being a genetic freak, it STILL creeps me out.
Call me a homophobe if you want, but it seems that isn't a CHOICE I made. They just DO creep me out.
I don't HATE them for it. I just want them to stay away from me. - AND I want them to stop having parades where they flaunt their perversions. THAT disgusting display IS a choice.

I basically vote Democratic but prefer to be called an independent voter and thinker. Hate is wrong under any circumstances. . .and a real waste of time. . .

I don't hate gays. Maybe you should stop stereotyping. Also, there is no scientific proof that being gay is not a choice. However, I do believe that it isn't.
