The answer would be no. Think about it. If you were helping other people in order to make yourself feel better, you would be helping your conscience more than the people. You're helping people to make you feel more unselfish. But then you're just thinking of your own feelings instead of focusing on helping.

Helping other people just to make yourself feel better is selfish. Help other people because you can and because they need help, the idea is to make THEM feel better - that is unselfish.

By "making yourself feel better" you also include thanking God for giving you the grace to be a blessing to others, then no. I think it's a win-win situation.

if you really think about it .. everything we do is selfish .. for one reason or another ... would we really do something unconditional if we didnt have that little feel good moment after? or thought that it would benifit us in someway; even spiritualy .. to prove you are a good person, parent ect ..

its nothing to be ashamed of but everything we do one way or the other is for us, but selfish is such an ugly word lol
