I don't save things for another day. I use them all up, because I'll have more tomorrow.

Hi,
When I was 'slim' a long, long time ago, I had some really nice outfits. I was young and I didn't have a lot of money (now I'm older and don't have a lot of money but that's beside the point!) and I decided to put these outfits away and save them for a special occasion. Only, very few special occasions came along and when they did, I forgot about those outfits. Until I found them years and years and years later and admired my taste when I was younger but what a waste. They were never worn and I had put on too much weight for them to ever fit again.
The moral of this story is, if you've got it, flaunt it ... no that was just a joke. The moral is, make the most of today because in thinking we are looking after our future selves, we lose out on current opportunities. The future will take care of itself (as long as we remain sensible) but in the meantime, enjoy the here-and-now.

I'm always saving all sorts of things.
Recipes I want to try cooking, and I even go out and buy the ingredients, then can't find the recipe.
We have lots of pet supplies saved for when and if we ever get another pet, don't know where they are though.
My husband sticks things out in the garage, workshop or barn and then I never know where the thing went to. He saves everything.

I won some vacation trips through a sweepstakes and I was shaking with excitement (I never win anything so fabulous). I wrote down all the information for the trips phone numbers, dates, locations, etc, on a piece of paper. I put the paper in a safe place that I thought I would never forget, to call the people back. Well now I can't remember where that safe place is, so I can't go on the vacations until I find that paper. I've turned my whole house upside down looking for it. I can really kick myself for it. I really hope that they haven't given my trips to someone else.

My self. I got involved with a lot of trivialities that I saved myself for another day, promising that I'll make it up to myself someday. Now, I'm lost
