I LOVE to play in people's hair, but I don't get sexually turned on by it.

The definition of fetish is a sexually driven behavior, so if it is not sexually driven it is not a fetish. I play with people's hair but not for any sexual reason, I just like pretty hair, I like to braid hair and watch it fall or flop. I have very curly hair and it doesn't have those qualities. My daughters both have beautiful hair and if they let me I would play with it for hours, braiding combing, styling it's just fun!

It only becomes a fetish if you start feeling tempted to do it to complete strangers or if you go out of your way to play in someone's hair.

A fetish doesn't necessarily have anything to do with sex. RELIGION has more to do with fetishism than sex.

From Wikipedia: Fetishism is present in all religions, but its use in the study of religion is derived from studies of traditional West African religious beliefs, as well as Voodoo, which is derived from those beliefs.

Blood is often considered a particularly powerful fetish or ingredient in fetishes. In some parts of Africa, the hair of white people was also considered powerful.

In addition to blood, other objects and substances, such as bones, fur, claws, feathers, water from certain places, certain types of plants, and wood are common fetishes in the traditions of cultures worldwide.

I'm not sure what you mean by "playing." Do you mean styling, and such? Or perhaps stroking, in an affectionate sort of way? Or maybe you just like to feel hair, the different feel of each persons different hair. May be you should think about being a hair stylist Just like an artist likes paint, a hair stylist likes hair. Have you ever thought of it in that way?

You are safe then...it does'nt fit the definition of a "sexual fetish" then. There are different media to be creative in...and hair just happens to be one you enjoy! Have fun...I am sure others will appreciate you skills related to hair

Yes. Not all fetishes are sexual. One denotation (literal meaning) of the word is: an abnormally obsessive preoccupation or attachment; a fixation

No it is not a fetish you silly girl. It is just something that you love to do. Did you ever think about becoming a hairdresser?

NO! It is not a fetish. Like you said, you have no sexual interest in it. It is merely a quirk. Hey, you just like it...so what. I can't resist chennile (spelling?). Whenever I see it, I have to touch it, no matter if it is a friend or stranger wearing it. You and I are just quirky.

A lot of people consider hair as a fetish however it's not fetish to you if it does not arouse you.
