The circumference of a circle (C) is equal to pi x diameter (D). And diameter of a circle is twice its radius (R). Let's say, C=pi x D or C=pi x 2R. If C= pi feet and C= pi x 2R, equating them we have an expression of pi feet= pi x 2R. Cancelling pi in both sides of the equation, we have feet=2R or R=1/2 feet or the radius is 1/2 feet. (answer).

We know that circumference of a circle is given by the formula 2pi*r,where r is the radius of the circle
Here,2pi*r=pi
therefore r=pi/2pi=1/2
The radius of the circle is 1/2 or 0.5 foot

formula for Circumference is 2(pi)r...
if the circumference is pi feet, then it's radius is 1/2 feet, by solving for the other variable r...
by the way, it's not pie... it's pi... a greek letter...

Use these formulas to compute the unknown:
Caution: All units of measurements must be the same
(1) c = (2)(pi)(r)
(2) r = (c) / (2)(pi)
Alternate formula:
(A) c= (2)(3.14.16)(r) = (6.2832)(r)
(B) r = c / (2)(3.1416) = c / 6.2832
Where:
c = circumference
r = radius
pi = 3.14.16 (rounded to four decimal places)
Your question: What is the radius if the circumference is equal to pi (3.1416 ft)?
Use formula (B):
r = 3.1416 / (2)(3.14.16) = 1/2 = 0.5 ft.
Good Luck!

circumference = 2*(pi)*(radius)
therefore, if circumference (c) = (pi):
(pi) = (pi)*2*(radius)
what we know is that (pi) = (pi)*1
so, in turn, 1= 2*(radius)
so radius = 1/2 foot
