I know he broke his nose the other night, but has it been decided who he will skate with to start the season? I am curious because I am trying to decide Between him and Viktor Kozlov. Sykora is better but Kozlov just got the nod to start the season on Ovie's line. Any insight is appreciated

Sykora was in training camp today, and he seemed fine.

Armstrong on Sid's line is always a possibility. It happened towards the end of the 2005-06 season. Coach Therrien revived it towards the end of last season. I think Sykora will start on Sid's line though. You never know with Michel Therrien, he loooves to juggle lineups.

Personally, I like the Malone-Staal-Armstrong line they've been running in training camp. They have great chemistry, make an okay checking line, and they're all PKers... Staal filled out a little more and he's looking really good at center, his natural position. I was surprised to find that Ryan Malone looks better out on the ice. He skates better, THANK GOD.

Oh, and some people scoff at Staal being on the 3rd line, but the 2nd line made up of Roberts-Malkin-Christensen is diesel. Christensen finally looks good at wing, something they wanted to happen. He's a good sniper and has one of the quickest shots in the league. He and Malkin's offensive talents and creativity are all good and well, but when the puck gets to the net, it's all Gary Roberts banging it in. Nice combo.

Actually, though... Hall-Crosby-Recchi has been a line too. When Sykora was out Wednesday's practice with a broken nose, Adam Hall took his place. This could mean he's the 13th forward. There was no scrimmage in Thursday's practice, today, but both Hall and Sykora practiced with the regulars and combined with Sid in some drills.

Um... too in depth? Lol. Sorry.

Neither Erica nor a Pens fan but I thought I read somewhere that Armstrong would be on the RW.
Now I'm really confused, aren't Recchi, Sykora and Armstrong all natural RW?
Pre-season so nothing is in stone. Probably a good chance to see who works well with who.
