I know he hears me but when I ask something there is silence...if I ask again there is the raised eyebrow "sorry honey what?" Why does this happen? I hear everything

He doesn't want to take the energy into listening. If you want an excuse, women in general have many more connections in their gray matter, so they can communicate more effectively and process more than one thing at a time. It can be harder for men. He probably just would rather focus on something else. It's not necessarily personal.

Men can tune out easily. I don't think he's pretending to ignore you he's probably deep in thought, into his book, into his tv show or whatever he's doing. Don't ask until you have his attention. I honestly think this is something biological but I have nothing to back it up...my husband just said it goes back to caveman days....doesn't everything?? lol

He's not really ignoring you he's probably choosing to ignore you. They can only focus on one thing at a time and if you are talking to them while they are concentrating you'll just get a blank look.

Maybe he was concentrated on something important when you talked to him. Or maybe he has some hearing problem that you are not aware of.
