The amount of rain which falls over an area which covers your head and shoulder will be the same whether you run or walk. But when you are running towards a shelter, the time duration is less.So the amount of rain falling on you will also be less.Hence you get wetter when you walk.
But if you are running or walking in open space (instead of running into a shelter)for a particular time duration, you get wetter when you run.Because,if you run,you will cover more distance for the same duration and you will encounter more number of rain drops.

actually they tried to do some studies on this and found mixed results.
some studies showed that you get wetter running since more rain drops collide with you at a faster rate, while other studies proved the opposite.
I guess it would depend on the surface needed to cover, as well as your overall speed. I mean, if you only had to go from your car to the house, you would get less wet running. But if it's a longer distance, you would be about equally drenched whether you decide to run or not.

That is a question that has just been worn out, it is better to walk then run, but either way you are still going to get wet.

You would get less wet running because it would take less time to get to shelter.
