OK - lets see how we can show this for you
8x^2 +14x -15 =0. These can be tricky since you have several factors. Trying factors you can quickly get to the right ones which are (4x-3) and (2x+5). Note that you know the two signs have to be different since the ending item (15) is negative. Also, you know that the x are going to be either 8 and 1 or 4 and 2. It takes a little practice but once you get this part, the rest is easy.
Now lets complete the work:
(4x-3)(2x+5) =0 solving for x. Since either factor can be 0 we need to find 2 solutions, 4x-3=0 and 2x+5=0
4x-3=0
4x=3
x=3/4 is one answer.
2x+5=0
2x=-5
x=-5/2 is the other answer.
So your answers are x=3/4 and x=-5/2. Now check your work
8(3/4)^2 + 14(3/4) -15 = 0 ?
8(.5625) + 10.5 -15 =0?
4.5 +10.5 -15 =0? YES!
8(-5/2)^2 + 14(-5/2) -15 = 0 ?
8(6.25) + (-35) -15 = 0 ?
50 + (-35) -15 = 0? YES!
Hope this helps.

concern one million. x^2 - 14x + 40 9 = 4 => x^2 - 14x + 40 9 - 4 = 0 => x^2 - 14x + 40 5 = 0 injury ( -14) such that it is the sum of two numbers (destructive) => x^2 - 9x - 5x + 40 5 = 0 => x (x - 9) - 5 (x - 9) = 0 (Grouping and taking away commom (x - 9)) => (x - 5) * (x - 9) = 0 as a result x = (5,9) concern 2. t^2 - 16t + sixty 4 = 25 (remedy in addition as above) => t^2 - 16t + sixty 4 - 25 = 0 => t^2 - 16t + 39 = 0 => t^2 - 13t - 3t + 39 = 0 => t*(t - 13) - 3*(t - 13) = 0 as a result t =(3,13) concern 3. I dunno what's meant through suited sq. technique, yet i think of you should proceed this variety (x - 3)^2 = sixteen Taking root on the two aspects => x - 3 = 4 or x - 3 = -4 => x = 4 + 3 or x = -4 + 3 as a result x(7, -one million)

firts you want to add 15 to both sides
8x^2+14x=15
then you want to get the GCF from the fist part
2x(4x+7)=15
It has been years but I think this is it.
