O yeah Im asking this online becuase my mom is always tired and busy and I dont want to distract her.She has to deal with my 18 year old sister.She gets into alot of trouble.

I had a purse since i was 10, if you are going to a really crowded mall i would say wallet, there might be pick pockets, but if your going to a farmers market or some place where you are aware of what people around you are doing, go for it! no teenagers will think your weird... but mabey some old lady who didnt know what a purse was till she was 38

honestly at that age I didn't really have anything to put in a purse. so to me it is entirely unncessary. The only time I had a purse in middle school was when I went to europe on a class trip. I had to carry my wallet, id and passport with me at all times. and it was easier to carry in a purse.
after that I didn't feel it was necessary until I started driving. i hate carry a purse now and I am 32 years old.

Rock it Girl!! everyone can pull of a coach purse, plus you are just borrowing it so if anyone makes a comment you know the truth about you. Also the across the chest bags are really in right now so you'll look great.

why would anyone have bad thoughts of you because you carry a purse? if you have your own money, any kind of ID, a cell phone, lip gloss, or any of the above things you carry them in a cute purse. it doesn't have to be huge. there are lots of cute purses out there suitable for a 12 year old girl.

12 is old enough to have a purse and unless you leave it somewhere it's a safe and easy way to carry things around. I'd suggest limiting your shopping sprees though.

No and you shouldn't care about it that much to be asking this on yahoo answers. I'm not trying to be mean but there's a fine line between careing about what people think a little and being obsessed.
