Once it has entered your body and takin affect, it is usually 100% effective. Of course it would be ok for you to have unprotected sex. As long as you and your boyfriend stay true to eachother, then i dont see any reason for you to be at risk for an std. Just remember when you start to explore more, there are risk of infections, and things like that. For example if you ever decide to try anal sex, never go from anal to vagina unprotected. It can cause infections from bacteria, and that wont be good. Just be careful and you should be fine!

The Depo shot is effective 24 hours after you get it. So yes, i'd say you were ok to not use a condom, if you're comfortable with that.

Yes but using condoms helps prevent STDs.

I would also do more research on the shot before getting it again.

and google "depo provera lawsuit".

yes, you only have to use a second form of birthcontrol for the first month. but the only sure way to remain STD free for sure is to continue using condoms.

As far as the shot is concerned , you have been ready to have sex without a condom.. If you are concerned about your boyfriend, stop biting your nails. just do it.
