I'm sure there are many things that you love that fit nicely with your ideals. Those that don't will only cause you grief in the long run. I can tell by your question that you know what to do.
It's a difference between temporary happiness and eternal joy.

Emotions can blur and confuse the mind of it's righteous path. Earthly temptations are what leads man astray. I'm not religious, but to analyze a prominent piece of literature, in Genesis, man is cast from the Garden of Eden for giving into the temptation (eating the forbidden apple) instead of staying with the "ideals" by obeying God.

i used to seek ideals however sometimes doing the right thing isnt the right thing. becuz sometimes if want something that u really want, u have to everything just to get it including doing bad things...
so go for ur heart's desires and go for the persuit of happiness
