My computer says I need to update my drivers to install this printer but it wont let me do it. I have uninstalled the old printer and have the disk for the new printer. I'm so frustrated!!! HELP!

My computer also says " Windows 98 does not support this hardware"

Frustrating. Your computer tells you to update your drivers to use the printer and then doesn't support it anyway.

Seems like your printer won't work with win98.

Go to the Printers site (you didn't say who that was) and see if they have anything about using it with Win98.

So you are trying to install a new printer that is not compatible with win 98 on your computer that has win 98 as it's OS? You may need to update your OS.

sounds like you have Win98 which is no longer supported. Time to either upgrade the OS or get a new PC....
I woul drecommend getting a new PC.

Third option is to find an older printer which is capable of being used on Win98

go to microsoft windows page and see if you can find a way to update your drivers. Otherwise it might not be compatible with windows 98
