The DA in that town didn't give those black kids a fair shake. Further, I don't understand any white person who thinks it's funny to hang a noose from a tree to intimidate blacks - surely, any idiot with common sense would have to know that this refers to lynchings.

The only point I see is that Al " bigot" Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are on another crusade to get their faces in the news again!!!!!!!!!

This is typical 'bait and switch' tactics. Sharpton and Jackson are focusing on the nooses that white boys hung in a tree under which blacks sat. Indeed, that's despicable, crude, repugnant and racist.
But the real crime is that six black boys physically assaulted a white boy - and originally were actually charged with attempted murder!!!
It seems to me that Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are out to stir the sh*t and create a race riot, using hypocritical hyperbole and preposterous propaganda. It will bring them back into the public limelight for a while, and cause more division between whites and blacks in this country.
Why didn't Sharpton and Jackson rush to the aid of six white people in West Virginia who are charged with hate crimes involving a black girl?
Six white people attacked a black girl and should be punished for their racist hate crimes.
Six black people attacked a white kid and should be
punished for their racist hate crimes.
That's how I see it. Someone please explain what the difference is between these two cases - other than that Sharpton and Jackson are bound and determined to get the black criminals "off" and let the white criminals suffer their due punishment. Sounds like racism to me. -RKO- 09/20/07

All those racist like Sharpton and Jackson should let the locals handle the problem. The school took down the tree and a judge sent the criminal complaint to juvenile court. Trying to equate assault on a person with putting ropes on a tree is a real stretch. This country has had enough of crying blacks dancing for the cameras. Lets move forward and stop the divisions in this country.

from what i understand the black dudes were kicking this dude in the face after he was k.oed. ok. the one black dude took his shoe off and was beating the white kid with it. so thats a weapon right. i also heard that school officials tried to stop and end the attack and were blocked with force. i dont know what that means i guess it means they were attacked also. they need locked up for 20 years and thats it. see ya later. the big issue is gonna be when they dont let the black kid go and a riot starts. well i guarantee you when the national guard comes and ppl are getting gunned down sharpton and jackson will say it was a peacefully assembly and they came in and gunned em down

Everyone involved deserves to be punished. Hanging a noose from a tree is absolutely disgusting. So the white kids need to get in trouble for that.
But the black kids beat a white kid until he was unconscious. So they need to get in trouble for that.

I do believe those 6 boys were singled out. Honestly. How could the school administrators not know the tree was for whites only? Of course they did. They saw it day in, day out. Shameful. Attempted muder for black kid on white kid? It was a fight. No guns was a very good thing. Most of the US just starts shooting these days. Enter media and Sharpton. Unbelievable. I think Sharpton is the biggest hypocrite in modern day times. Even if I think this is a valid case for rights, he is still the wrong turd to carry the torch.

There's one thing that you have to keep in mind about this case. after all it is a case.. first the clear cut evidence
1. this is a completely different case than all the other sht that was going on
2. white guy had no involvement in the noose incident
3. those same boys had no involvement in the sitting under the tree incident
4. Mical bell had priors
5. 6 men beat one man
6. he was singled out because of his race
7. the 6 men were beating him while he was unconscious, kicking and wounding him.

that is the relevant material in a case. The media is the one that ties the stories together in order to create an exceptional one that every one will look at,, that is how they sell news papers and make their money. I don't think that they should get alot of time.. but if race wasn't a matter they would still be in deep ****. Especially if they got on the main guys nerves. Which they did by trying it incite racial tension because of the nooses, even if it wasn't directed at them.

Plain and simple, if it had been 6 white guys who beat up a black guy, there wouldn't even be a debate, it would automatically be a race motivated crime in the minds of the entire black nation. The assertion that race was not a factor is a joke.

All too often the racism from blacks to whites is completely ignored and portrayed as non-existent, when everyone knows for a fact it does indeed exist.

Do I think they deserve LIFE or anything like that? No. Was the crime racially motivated? You bet your *ss it was.

Hanging nooses from a tree is a sick thing to do. I think the white kids who did this deserve punishment. If the black kids are involved with any crimes, they also deserve punishment. Nobody should get off because of the color of their skin, and every race, color, origin deserve a fair trial.
