I married mine. We got together when I was junior and he was a senior. We've been together for over 12 years now and have been married for 6 1/2 years.
I think its more common than people realize. So many people say, "boyfriends come and go, but friends last forever." Many married couples I know have been together since high school, or at least since college, but of my current friends - none are from hs.

I married my childhood sweetheart but 13yrs later ... I had a huge crush on him when we were 13yrs old( 26 now ) but never said anything , we were friends and nothing more . In high school we had a couple of classes together and he would give me rides home but never nothing .. We went our seperate ways , he joined the army and I stayed back home . Then earlier this year we reunited and we both confessed our feelings for each other and we saw that the feelings were still there , so in July we got married .. and things are so great :)

We met during our senior year of high school and married after graduation (both 18 at the time). We were together 28 years and have only recently divorced. Cause of divorce - growing apart. Maintaining a good marriage takes the time and effort of both parties. It means having mutual interests, trying hard to please each other, and keeping the other as the focus of your desires. Somewhere along the way I forgot those basic facts.

My mom and dad didn't meet in high school, but have been happily married for almost 30 years.
So, the idea of a relationship being fated from high school is not true for everyone.
