I have done it all.
I fogged the house and vaccumed, Sprayed the yard. Dipped the dog and bought Advantix K9 and used it.
My dog is still covered in fleas. It is horrible. I have never seen so many fleas on a dog.
I am to the point I am almost going to get rid of our dog.
I cant stand this filth.
Does anyone have any advice?

My grandmother had this problem for the longest time. Hopefully as the seasons change it will help but I would just say keep doing what you are doing repetitively until they stop. Don't forget to wash all the linens as well. Spray all the trim on the first floor of your house with something odorless but will kill fleas. Good luck fleas are horrible.

Use a spray for your carpet. I like Adams products, but any should work. It lasts several months. Also, after a day or so, vacuuming can help pick up the fleas and eggs.

Also I use Frontline, but the Advantix K9 should also work.

You need to spray the yard again as well, unless you use something that says it lasts several months, through rain. I think it is better to just spray again. The product you use should tell you how often to spray. That will kill the emerging fleas so you don't start a new cycle. The cycle of flea eggs just keeps producing new ones until you kill all the adults and all the eggs.

I also use the Adams Flea and Tick Mist directly on the dog. It's different from the stuff for carpets. That should get all of them off the dog and then you can work on the house and yard.

You should already have a leg up on them with the fogging, etc. So keep at it. It can take a while.

I am finally flea free - no more bites for my dog or for me. Yahoo!

Please don't get rid of your poor little doggie. You CAN win this battle!

You might want to treat your yard for fleas, you can buy a granual stuff at Lowes that will kill fleas plus allot of other bugs in your yard, we treated our yard three years ago, we have three dogs and no more flea problems, we put it on heavy when we done the yard....if I remember right it was around $13.00 a bag three years ago, but it works great....it is a slow release so it won't get washed away if it rains......you can also bathe your dog in Dawn dish washing soap and leave it on for a few minutes before rinsing...you might have to try some other flea treatment.....consult the vet.... Good luck, I know what you are going thru, we had them bad three years ago when we bought this property, we fenced in the back yard then treated it with the granules and it has been great since then....Good luck..

Same here for my son in lower level & his cats.
Vacuum - - dispose of bag (live fleas will get back out & so will the newly hatched ones). Spray in vacuum where bag is.
Treatment on yard.
Wash blankets each time (fleas hide better in heavier objects)
Fogger every 3 days for about 3 times.
Flea spray for upholstered furniture including bottoms.
Treatment for dog.

You'll get them. Getting rid of the dog & admitting that fleas outwitted you would be terrible.

When we got our lil dogs, they were ate up with fleas, then r house got infested!! We bathed the dogs in DAWN dish detergant, Sprayed the house, vacummed&threw away the bag(fleas single club), We did this every other day, until we got the desired results. Its time consuming, and expensive (vac bags), but the lil dogs still bring us joy 10 years later!!!

take your dog to the vet they can give him a needle to kill the flees, we had dogs and that's what we did especially if they are out they are prone to get them.

And call the exterminator for the house you need to fumigate more and by professionals they have a better insecticide then the one that we buy.

I love dogs. However, with dogs come fleas.

I hate fleas more than I love dogs.

So I don't have a dog.

You will probably need to go see your vet and get a treatment. Front Line is good. as for you home Vacuum and vacuum. It gets old but that is what you will have to do.
Good Luck
