An appropriate answer would have been: "You have not changed though. You are still the same rude little snot you were when I last saw you. At least you seem to be out of diapers now."

Don't let it get you down. It sounds like your friend is just picking up where you two last left off by laughing. The kid you said yourself was seven years old. What does he know about growing up and weight gaining? The problems in life that stress us out and maybe make us gain some pounds. Don't let it bug your self esteem. If it really bugs you then maybe try a lifestyle change to lose some weight. Whatever makes you comfortable in your own skin.

People know if they're overweight or not. Kids point things out. He should have been taught at an earlier age not to make comments about people's appearance unless they're nice comments (my 5-year-old understands this).
That said, yes, he was rude. Should you let it bother you? Well, if being overweight doesn't bother you, then this comment wouldn't bother you. I know a lot of men who could probably care less if some kid said they had a big belly. If you do care, do something about it. You need to be happy in your body, regardless of what others' opinions are (even kids'). Clearly, you're not happy.

The next time you see him just tell him that little children serve no practical purpose, and in about 11 years when he is 18 he is going to probably be drafted to participate in the world war between Israel and Iran.

Awwwww nooooo kids 1) like to tease and 2) do not understand social barriers.
When I was younger I had some spots and my little cousin would ALWAYS bring it up - "ewwww look at those spots" and it made me really embarrassed.
I'm sure you're not fat - dont listen to him - he's just a child.

Kids are kids. Don't let what a kid says bother you. Most of us that have gained extra weight are the first ones to notice it. That means that everybody else already knows. Just continue to be you. Your friend is your friend. They already know what size you are. They were laughing at the kid not you.

Be like F*** it. He is a little kid, who cares what he says???? I member when i was 7 the way i flirted was by being mean so don't sweat it he may just like you. Just chill out and be yourself nothing but yourself. That's what matters. There are too many self conscious people out there don't join them. Be original.
