And when did you become LDS and why? Or, are you ashamed of how you broke away from the church and went off to get your 501C to collect contributions to the church?
Keep it sweet, as one of my friends who is an LDS, and messes around on his wife all the time in Washington, D.C. is watching to see how honest you answer or don't answer this question. (smile)

In the beginning all Mormons were like the FLDS Church today, to include the 1st Prophet - Joseph Smith.

The LDS Church will revert to how they were if the government allows it. This is why Romney is a dangerous candidate. Talk to me some more. Try again.

Avatar: I have read the Book of Mormon and many other reference books on Later Day Saints. You have it all wrong, Mormons were a wild bunch of cowboys that had multiple wives and were mean killers along that wagon trail, and are still as ruthless in the financial world today. Get your facts straight. It is dangerous to allow them into the White House as president or otherwise. Look at the Senators we have in our government that are Mormon - biggest crooks in the field.

to further confuse you...in the beginning was joseph Smith...after he died, his wife and son felt that joseph's son should be the next prophet, but some mormeons went with brigham young because they saw a vision of brigham looking like joseph smith and so, the Reorganized church was born and then the mormons, LDS or the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints migrated to UT, then the FLDS broke off and wanted to practise poligamy after the mormons wanted to become a state and stopped all polygamy.

The FLDS are nothing like the LDS. They never were. The Church of Jesus Christ has always been a missionary minded church. They've never been a closed society. The only reason we had to go to utah is because we were driven out of everywhere else. But then thats what intolerance gets you.
The FLDS have no temples. They have no work for the dead. They do no missionary work. Most of them have no clue what the Bible or Book of Mormon actually says.
For a so called fundamentalist group they kind of ignore all the fundamentals.

Boy do you have your details screwed up! BTW, this is the wrong section, dude!!!
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was first. The FLDS church came after Joseph was murdered. WE ARE NOT THE SAME AT ALL! The FLDS church broke away because they didn't want to follow Brigham Young. They thought the prophet should be the son of Joseph, not Brigham as directed by God.
Stop being insulting!

Wow, you are very quick to judge people you don't really know anything about... sounds like your "research" has anti-mormon written all over it.
No, FLDS is a break off of the LDS church. They are not the same and don't even believe in the same doctrine. You are just making yourself sound very foolish and gullible.
And your friend? Guess what, no one is perfect, not even us Mormons. We all sin. Are we supposed to be good examples and follow the commandments? Yes. But guess what, people no matter what religion aren't perfect so get over it.
Seriously, let it go. You are just making yourself look very judgemental and silly.

All faiths are unique purely as all every person is unique. prepared religions exchange with the situations (or fail to). From the outdoors it fairly is uncomplicated to work out secular variations as small and petty. regrettably, from their attitude there's an excellent difference. This generally provides them an excuse to fail to take duty for splinter communities at superb, and injury out in violence on the worst. upload: lots of the so talked approximately as non secular variations are surely variations in community and custom. Polygamy is a widespread western taboo (and a criminal offense) yet replaced into basic in situations and places the place existence replaced into complicated and larger households survived better. Mary replaced into in all probability basically 12 whilst her god impregnated her. existence replaced into short in those days; 12/13 replaced into an grownup, and 35 replaced into lifeless. i don't help what they did, yet I additionally do not sell all and sundry blindly criticizing a custom until they have some historic attitude.

Actually, you got it more backwards. The LDS church kicked out the FLDS.
LDS, while in the beginning allowed polygamy, changed and banned it, with polygamy being cause for automatic banishment (called excommunication).
This change was made about a hundred years ago, so no one alive today or their parents, were allowed to practice polygamy by the LDS church.

What kind of history books HAVE you been reading? I don't find your "details" threatening, I find them HILARIOUS! "Rough cowboys on the trail".???
Now riddle me this: If you were a "rough murderous cowboy on the trail" back in the 19th century, would you ALLOW your enemies to ransack your property, murder your prophet, and drive you from place to place to place TO PLACE, from New York State ALL THE WAY to the unsettled DESERT in the Utah Territory?
That just seems so ... impractical.
You're one of those conspiracy theorists aren't you? Lemme guess.... A man's never been to the moon either right? The wicked US government that wants to control the world lied to everyone about that just so they could "say" they beat the Russians to it.
Also on behalf of my murderous anarchist people, to discredit you:
"Keep it sweet, as one of my friends who is an LDS, and messes around on his wife all the time in Washington, D.C. is watching to see how honest you answer or don't answer this question. (smile)"
Why does your LDS friend that seems to know the "truth" about what we teach in secret have to "mess around on his wife" if he is in fact practicing another form of marriage IN WHICH HE BELIEVES? It's human tendancy to justify what we do, not bring unwanted scorn. I would expect a believing polygamist to not refer to it as "messing around" since that denotes guilt. What's there to feel guilty about right?
You're a liar.
