me and my bf was talking about this and i was bored so i thought id get other peoples opinions black and white (im black by the way) i think its ridiculous to accuse them with attempted murder especially since the boy went out partying that night so that cannot be attempted murder, and i think its also unfair that the jury is all white. But then I put my self in the other peoples shoes and thought if my child got jumped would i want the other people to be in jail that long if my child is okay? What do you guys think, thanks :-)

I think this is out of control..they should not be charged with attempted murder..What about when these white kids hung the nooses from the tree?? and why did they have to ask permission to sit under that tree?? This is a fight that got carried away, but if it was all white kids or all black kids , then i think everyone one would just treat it as just a fight between kids...(I'm white by the way) there is alot of things that are not being brought up...These kids should not do any jail time,,,just my opinion

There will always be injustice in this world.
And people who are limited in education and understanding of their fellow man will always behave as the residents of Jena, Louisiana.
The majority of people like them have never broaden their horizons or way of life....they are "stuck" in a mess that they feel is not broken and doesn't need fixing....how sad! To isolate themselves from the rest of society because of fear....people are always afraid of change, they don't know any other way and don't want one.
I feel sorry for all of them....blacks and whites. This is the 21st century and they all need to come out of hiding and try to see each other as they are: HUMAN BEINGS.
