Go to the mall and DON'T go to Hollister. Try some good department stores, other smallish stores,and look around at what other guys your age or older [ college, business ] are wearing. Sit with a coffee or Julius and act like you are going to meet someone.
Take notes if you need to.
Decide what colors you look best in:
COOL colors -
white, pinks, cherry red, coral, lemon yellow, mint, jade, and forest green, sky, royal, smoke, and navy, lavender, plum, grays, black, and silver jewelry.
WARM colors-
ivory, tomato red, peach, orange, rust, golden, lime, kelly green, olive, aqua, turquoise, teal, purple, caramel, and coffee brown.
1] buy dressy pants or suits in your best neutrals - gray, navy, black; or caramel, olive, coffee. Buy shoes and belts to go with them. Socks match shoes for dress clothes.
2] get great fitting jeans that show off butt and waist [ no droopers! ] Shoes, belts, socks don't need to match for jeans/casual pants/shorts.
3] buy tops [ Ts, polos, button or dress shirts ] in your best pastels and brights. These colors are close to your face, so will be more flattering.
4] when you buy a dress shirt, buy a tie at same time. [ or be sure you have one at home that will coordinate. ] Ties should be vivid, and have a small to medium size pattern.
5] whatever you buy, be sure you have something to go with it; or buy something at same time.
6] don't EVER wear all of one brand [ unless you are the designer! ].
