Would like to make a fortnight trip to a couple of countries in Europe, Russia to study your culture. Do you have certain aspects of freedom or way of life that you enjoy and make your country special? Name also a couple of must-see places i need to visit.
Thanks so much!

US and Netherlands have a different kind of liberal/free society, so much so that you should not put them into one group.

Most of Europe now has a society that is much like the UK and the Netherlands.
And those countries that do not yet have the same freedoms, health-care, old age pensions, freedom of speech (not just on paper but in reality) are changing to catch up.

The USA is far behind, for all they think they are having the most freedom.

And who wants 'exiting' in daily life?
I prefer a place where I know what to expect when I come home.

If you have the chance, meet students from the different countries, eastern and western Europe, and talk with them.
You will see that they are free, have on average more freedom than their American counterparts.
That is because university life is organized different.

All countries in Europe are worth visiting, which ones are best for you depends on your ideas and thoughts about Europe more than anything else.
The former communist countries are cheaper, have less tourist traps, but are also less known so you will not see the things that make Europe in many minds (like the Eiffel tower.)
