I need to know if I can take a taxi to the cruise ship port or I must find some other form of transportation.

I'm not sure if I understand you.If you mean you've got to get a cruise called Royal Atlantic which departs from Barcelona's port, then it's ok. I took a taxi.

I drove from Malaga to catch a ferry from Barcelona. Passing Barcelona airport it wasn´t far to the port but the journey took an hour due to very heavy traffic. I guess it just depends on the time of day. Taxi would be best.

Barcelona airport to barca cruise port (by las ramblas) is about half hour in taxi and costs 30 euros approx, you could get a bus, but id cut the hassle and get a cab

I don't believe there are any cafes but there is seating area at the cruise terminal so you can always sit down and try to pass the time. Also, sometimes we're gotten there and they have allowed you to board the ship (not go into cabins yet though) much earlier than the actual stated time.
