NONAME is an idiot. The reason Anakin came back as a force ghost was becasue he was the Chosen One and was destined by the force the entire time to destroy the Sith. Sure he killed a lot of innocent people whne he became Vader, but by redeeming himself and destroying Sidious, he saved countless more. Back to the question, The reason Yoda and Obi-Wan can come back is because they are taught by Qui-Gon Jinn. Remember at the end of Episode III when Yoda tells Obi-Wan he has special training for him? That training was to learn from Qui-Gon how to become a force ghost.
EDIT: Nice try with changing your name NONAME. You truly have no idea what Star Wars is about. You are a disgrace to Star Wars fans with your absurd analysis. If you knew anything at all about Star Wars, you would stop with the nonsense about fans defending Star Wars. The last time I looked, George Lucas created Star Wars, not you, and Lucas says that Anakin is the Chosen One. End of story. If the movies suck so bad, then don't watch them.

Retaining one's physical image even after death was a knowledge gained when a Jedi attains the highest level of his skill. That was explained in the book. Yoda, Qui-gon, Obi-wan and Darth Vader (no longer Anakin) achieved such level of skill.

Qui-Gon Jinn learned about the afterlife whereas most other Jedi's knew nothing of it. What I don't get is how did Anakin learn of it? Yoda taught it to Obi-wan and that was it. So who taught it to Anakin?

Depends on the writer and convenience of the story.
One of the worst travesties to the Star Wars fans was having that idiot George Lucas go back and take out the original actor (Sebastien Shaw) who played Vader and insert Hayden at the end of Jedi.
And WHY did evil Vader get to come back as a young spirit when good Yoda and Obi Wan come back as feeble old guys? That really makes no sense whatsoever.
Of course some SW fans out there are gonna come up with some bull shite explanation like, well, Ani was young when he turned to the Dark Side so he reverted to THAT age. So freakin' what?
Yoda and Obi were good their entire lives and all they get was to become old ghosts?
And why did Vader come back as a spirit at all? 2 minutes of doing good (throwing the Emperor over the railings) does NOT wash away 20+ years of doing evil.
Edit: And as for that idiot Donnie B, how can Ani be the chosen one? He gets his azz handed to him by Obi Wan who got his azz handed to him TWICE by Dooku (who also kicked Ani's azz and chopped off his arm).
He's a really lame azz Chosen One. A whiney, arrogant baby-killer who turns into a crippled, crispy critter with emphysema.
Like I said, always some jackazz out there is gonna go to bat to defend the absurdity of the Star Wars stories. With plot holes big enough to fly both Death Stars and the whole Imperial Fleet through.
The Jedi can sense shite from a planet away but they CAN'T sense their worst enemy is living right next door to them? WTF?
And what the heck was up with the Jedi at the temple? Was No ONE looking out the window going "Hey... there's Ani... with a HUGE army of armed and armored soldiers coming towards us looking ready to open up a can of whoop-azz on somebody. Uh, guys... someone might wanna sound the alarm or something."
I mean, geezus titty f*cking christ! Those movies make no kinda sense, or even try to maintain any kind of consistency.
