When it comes to your child trust poison control NOT people on Yahoo that's telling you not to worry about it. You never know what other products the gypsum came in contact with that could harm your child. Better safe then sorry

RELAX Dad, your child will be FINE! Gypsum is not poisonous (at least not in the quantity he ingested). Had it been hazardous you would have seen signs of it, such as respiratory distress, swelling of the extremities, and possibly nausea. None of these were described in your question so I conclude he is a Healthy child.

If he had heart burn it's likely to go away... Gypsum or "Gyp" as it's called industrially is pretty much chalk in a looser form. I wouldn't worry too much.
