i am 13 playing on the A team for my school. the safteys are good, but i think im better. i really want the starting job.
how can i get it without doing it illegally?

Talent certainly helps, but hard work and effort can go a long way. Just work your tail off in practice, hustle during every drill and play, and hope the coaches take notice and give you the nod. If you end up at special teams, hustle to make big plays and show you have something special when you are on the field.

What you think is not so important as what your coaches think. They base that on how well you play and what kind of sport you are (good sport, bad sport) and whether or not you are a good team player.

Get out there when you can, and when you do, hit harder than anyone...even in practice, hit'em like you're in a game...stay in the gym longer than anyone, and show your coach who wants it worse...it'll come
