When I ask questions about the singer Aaliyah, I think it's very cruel when they say, "Aaliyah is DEAD!" or "Isn't she dead?" I think that's quite evil & heartless.

People can be cruel with dead celebrities. I think it's a refection on the fact that the celebrities are not real to some people. If they had met the person in real life or were friends with them I'm sure it would be completely different. I think some of the jokes really aren't meant to be serious at all as well. It's just that the lives of celebrities are so public and up for scrutiny.

Nothing heartless with stating the obvious. Now if someone has happen to pass jokes of her death, now that is another thing altogether. But, I do agree, most people can be heartless and cruel in this world.

The more pertinent question would be "why would you expect someone else to care?"

Aaliyah was just a person, no better or worse than you or me. Her fame didn't make her a better person, nor did it make her death any more tragic than anyone else's.

On the average, someone dies every 0.4 seconds on Earth, and each of those deaths is just as sad, sorrowful, and important as Aaliyah's. So why is she so special?

I think people place entirely too much value on celebrities and admire them too much for being famous. It's a form of jealousy, envy, and idolatry, and it is largely undeserved by the celebrated person.

Anna Nicole Smith, i've got faith sorry for her via fact she wont ever get to work out her little toddler daughter improve up and that i've got faith sorry for the toddler via fact she would not have a mum that can watch her improve up. My suggestion to her could have been get a DNA try for the toddler so there wouldnt have been that combat over her.

Some people do not think of celebrities as real people so they are unnecessarily cruel.

Why should people care about the death of a celebrity more than that of an everyday person? They're not anymore important than anyone else.
