Hi, my household had three pairs of my car keys and I lost two of them, including my car remote. Having one car key won't be enough because my parents need a copy too just in case. How do I order a new key and remote?

You will need to visit the parts dept. at your dealership and they carry remotes and can make and program a spare set of keys for you....better get two keys made....if you loose your last key it is going to get expensive due to reprograming work that has to be done by the mechanic which usually takes up to an hour...so just the labor will be from $75 to $125
or more depending on where you live...good luck

Go to a dealership, that sales the make/model of your car. The can make you a key for a hefty price, and probably get you a new remote. If you don't want to spend that much money ask for a key to just open the doors and not start the car. Keys now adays have computer chips in them that is why it costs so much to have them made. If all else fails try wal-mart.

Dealers can cut the keys and get you the key FOB. If it's just a generic key you can have it cut at any lock smith, hardware center, or department store. Some of the newer cars require chips in the keys to work correctly. If that's the case then you need to go to the dealer.

Since you're talking about a remote, you have only one choice...the dealership. It's going to be costly, since each remote is vehicle specific (that is, each car uses a separate code with which you can unlock and start it). I'd suggest you tell your family to be more careful in the future and tell them they've got to foot the bill for replacement keys and remotes. Good luck!

Any place that makes keys can copy your keys. If you have the keys with the anti theft device you may have to go to someone like home depot. It's a lot cheaper than a dealer.

In the glove compartment in your owner's manual, there will be a key code that you take to the dealer to get new keys.

You might also be able to go to a locksmith for the same thing. Remotes are not cheap.

Most car keys now have a anti-theft chip built in, so ya, you would have to go to the dealership and give them all the info they new so they can get you a programmed key for you car.

Go to the dealership. Show them your registration. They will make you a new key. It will most certainly cost you. They can also replace the remote. Cost you more.

My 'ninety two Jeep would not have an alarm and in my opinion, i think of they're a waste of time. i've got seen too lots of them going off via fact the automobile gets touched or bumped or the wind blows too complicated and that i've got observed the folk exceedingly plenty forget approximately approximately them. My neighbor's used to flow off interior the midst of the nighttime and it purely P|ssed me off via fact it replaced into basically the wind. They flow off so genuinely that it is the "Cry Wolf" syndrome. BTW, I shop my keys on a hook through the front door. I asked the query under and seems that it would be a moot element if the automobile alarm DID flow off. .... Sorry

DEpends, if it's a GM (VATS key) a lock shop can make it if they have an interrogator, if it's a ford(PATS key) a lock shop MIGHT be able to make one but the dealer would have the equipment for sure
