My period has always been regular, pretty much like clockwork. Since I have had my copper IUD removed in the spring my periods are messed up....very irreg. and sporadic. Has anyone else experienced this and is their a possible correlation between the removal of the IUD and my cycle irregularity?
I am being investigated for polycystic ovaries....but we are not convinced this is the case as it just happened very quickly and out of the blue.
Any insight appreciated

I've never used an IUD but I have talked to others who have used the ones such as Paragard who have said that they had a lot of irregular bleeding when coming off of the IUD. Another site where you can go for even more information is at: http://forums.obgyn.net/womens-health

yes I had my IUD removed to about 6 or more months ago. Mental Cycles at first were regular. Last month nothing and the month before two days of spotting.
This month nothing again. I was thinking the same what the heck it going on?? Am I somehow pregnant or menopause???
