(1. Joba - Amazing. If he can convert his stats in to a starting pitcher role the Yankees and Joba will be unstoppable.
(2. Shelley Duncan - Although playing in limited action, Duncan is amazing. He has been blasting home runs everywere. Should be good one day.
(3. Ian Kennedy - A future great pitcher. Might be a MEGA moose one day.
(4. Phillip Hughes - Although he has the talent to be the best rookie prospect, he needs to show he has the stats.
(5. Edwar Rameriez - He has been excellent of late. Although his overall numbers arent impressive.

With out a doubt my favorite is Joba Chamberlain. Why? He is a great set up man for the GREAT MARIANO RIVERA. He is the best the Yankees has had since Tom Gordan. With The Rocket, Rivera, Posada, Pettitte he will become a great. Now I'm not saying that Phil Hughes and Ian Kennedy are not great because they are it's that they had to be thrown into the roataion because of injurys. I think that they would not have been in the major for a couple more years.

Are you doing a survey or something? Joba Chamberlain has made the biggest impact for the team this year but Kennedy has pitched great and has lit a fire under Mussina's *** so that he's pitched like the Moose of old. But why choose whose best, were focusing on winning a world series right now.

Joba as number one. I mean he has an era of less than .50 that is amazing even if it has only been 18 innings.
Ian Kennedy as number 2- has had 2 really great starts. He is Awesome.
Phil- also a good rookie, but as of yet the worst of the 3 (I stress as of yet!)
No need to classufy however, because they each are great additions to this team.

Joba because hes got ridiculous stuff and is just a big Teddy Bear with a lot of energy. Appreciates his family too.
After him I'm grouping the rest of the rookies together, Duncan is the mountain man with the energy on the bench he just wants to break everyone with a man hug after a homerun he's got that great big stupid grin on his face. Edwar has the Bugs Bunny change up which I love. And both Kennedy and Hughes have the professional mentality that Jeter has.

1 Joba of course
2 Kennedy (he deserves to be on the playoff roster)
3. Shelley "Red Sox Suck" Duncan
4.Hughs (I list him fourth because he hasnt quite lived up to his hype yet. I feel like we should just spot the other team 2 runs in the first and move on from there)
5 Edwar (he came virtually out of nowhere and has been a god send along with Joba to that bullpen)
6 Veras (i know we havent seen a lot of him but he was tauted out of spring training as having a very good chance of making the team and what ive seen from him so far id take him in my pen over farnsworth anyday)
7 Matt DeSalvo, Tyler Clippard, Chase Wright (what great finds for the Yankees!!!....the Scranton Wilkes Barre Yankees that is)

Let's put it this way, the Red Sox didn't really take the Yankees seriously until Chamberlain joined the team. Conversely the Yankee swagger didn't really surface until Joba "The Hutt" Chamberlain let a couple of 95MPH fastball travel "Just a tad inside" to the Beantowners.
I'd hate to think where we would be without him in September.

Joba has all the right stuff to be a dynamic starter next year. he could win 20+ games as a rookie next year. I like Kennedy and Hughes but Joba Rules.

After the Yankees got swept by the Red Sox, I didn't think they deserved the right to go into an over-hyped series with the Mets and crush them. But, two wins is two wins, so we'll take them. Besides, the series wasn't quite the same anyway, with Beltran, Reyes, and Delgado out of the lineup for the Mets. Regardless, they would have been high scoring games with the best lineup in baseball (Yankees) against an okay Mets lineup.

JOBA!!! JOBA!!! JOBA!!!
This guy is just unbelieveable. Just imagine what he'll be like next year as a starter. But if he becomes Mo's set up man, which will lead into closing, he'll need a cool entrance song. Maybe... Another One Bites the Dust?? Or maybe Triple H's entrance song by Motorhead??
