We have walnut trees in our backyard and would like to make them stop producing walnuts - Can you make them sterile?

Nope. You are stuck with the walnuts unless you kill the tree. They don't even need a buddy to produce and the walnuts are extra heavy this year. We still have one and it is hazarous to walk on that side of the house.
