I have gone with friends to places they knew I would be uncomfortable because they didn't want to go alone and couldn't find anyone else to go, but I won't do that now. I just say NO.

The person who does that is probably so insecure that they need to make someone else feel uncomfortable. Too bad, that friend needs some help.

No, I don't know anyone who does that. That is real weird thing to do. I hope your best friend doesn't bother with that friend any longer.

i have a friend that does that, but since i'm there friend i stick it out for them. but only sometimes, other times i would just say i'm not staying goodbye.

ummmm.....I had a friend of color in college and he took me to a comedy club....I was the only white dude there...the comedian said something about "larry" and looked at me....
and everyone laughed....and it occured to me (much later)....that I was a setup...
funny for me though!!!
