I have a beautiful black dress that I've totally killed from wearing it so much. It's faded and the fabric's starting to look a bit worn out. I don't want to get rid of it, is there anything you can suggest that would spruce it up and give it a bit more life?

Oh gosh...I just forgot the name of it...i think its RIT dye? Anyways there is a pretty common product out there that basically is a special black dye made for clothes. You can also buy a special detergent for blacks to prevent fading. Good luck!

If none of the other suggestions don't work, you can always put a black lace overlay on the dress, purchase a cape, or something of this nature to revive the dress. I'd opt out for a black lace overlay. :)

Try to re-dye it. If it's got worn out spots, put some neat fabric over them and make it look neat. Best of luck to you.

You could try to re-dye it.

Maybe add flowers or pearls or some kind of accent.

Ask your dry cleaner/tailor if it can be dyed; or even copied in another color, maybe? [ navy, coffee, pearl gray? ]
