If I saw alot of people around and cars stopped assistin the person I would not stop. Toomany people at the scene can be more of a hindrance than of assistance. However; If there was no one else there I would stop depending onthe enviornment. If it was a safe open street, yes. If was a dark closed off area, no. But I would take the points down so that I could drive down a bit further to a gas station or something and I would call. No sense in putting my life at risk and I dont know the situation. I dont have super powers and Imno super hero. You let the dead bury the dead, and the living walk with the living.

best answer please....

I would most definitely stop and help..
Like think about it this way .. if every single person who had just witnessed the same accident just "assumed" that someone else would stop and help, then that leaves no one.

I did witness an accident about 3 weeks ago, and I did stop and help. I learned in my social psych class that when in that kind of situation where other bystanders are around, people are less likely to do something because they assume someone else is going to do it, with that in mind, i think i would always stop.

I would stop and help. When my mom and little brother had an accident, a lot of people just stared. I don't know if they were in shock or what else was going through their minds, but i would have helped my mom and little brother any way i could have. Too bad i was in school. I sometimes regret even going to school on that day, that way it wouldn't have happened to my mom or little brother, but i'm thankful they're both alive, no thanks to the jack who ran them both over

It depends. I live in a very large city where I usually seeat least 2 accidents a morning in a 15 mile stretch. Usually police are only seconds away and pulling over would disrupt traffic making matters worse for emergency vehicles to be able to get there. So my answer is no in some situations and yes in situations where no one is around.

I'd stop--if I witnessed it, I wouldnt want someone to keep going if they witnessed an accident I was just in.

I would stop, not really sure how I would help other than giving them someone to talk to until real help arrives. I mean if the car was ready to explode I guess I would go ahead and pull'em on out. Oh my hell, I don't know what I'd do until it actually happens.

Stop, survey the scene, and call 911. Ask any conscious victims what happened, their names, if they have any allergies/medical conditions and if they're taking medications (also write all this down so I could hand it over to EMS). I'd ask for consent to give care, but my state doesn't offer legal protection to people who aren't trained in Safety & First Aid. So I would have to wait until EMS personnel arrive. But if I was trained, I would definitely give first aid.

Stop and render all necessary aid, while summoning help. If you don't and someone dies as a consequence you are vulnerable to a charge of criminally negligent homicide. Some people think if you did something wrong you could get sued; not so,you are protected by the Good Samaritan laws, and every state has one.
