We have to support our people. Black America needs to stand up and take back what is rightfully ours.. And thats our freedom to sit, eat, go and do as we please. This is not a "White" world. And we are not the minority. We are the majority!!!!. Read your books and get the information that proves that we are more superior. We are not better, but we are not inferior.. Free our young black men and reform them. Put the ones that commit the crimes behind bars...

why do you need to wear black to make a point. by doing that you are forcing people to chose a side. People who are otherwise impartial will become racist. by drawing attention to this, you are adding fuel to the fire. i am neither black nor white, i will not choose a side, i will treat everyone equal like i always have. i went to a high school that was 50% white and 50% black and there were no problems at all.

I agree. I'm not sure what has been taken away from black people? Maybe you want to be specific so we can answer. I thought that's why equality was created in this country. I don't think it should be a white world either, and it doesn't seem to be in my opinion. There are plenty of black leaders and leaders of other races that are respected. I'm not really even sure who is the majority, since our world is becoming more diverse. Good points but people would have an easier time answering you if your paragraph was a little more specific.

No I did not wear black to protest the injustice that is currently taking place in Jena, LA. I do not express my political opinions by the clothes that I wear...In this particular instance, I chose to show my support by signing the national petition, by sending money to the defense team that is currently in Jena fighting the injustice (www.colorofchange.org), and by forwarding the above mentioned website to friends and family. Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking those that decided to wear black, I honestly believe that it was a strong showing of support... but if that is ALL you did, come on...don't we owe it to all those that came before us that stood in the face of injustice (I mean literally stood in the face of injustice- and cops...and dogs...and fire hoses) not to be content with taking the path of least resistance? Why not ask, "Did you go down to Jena, LA" or "Did you call LA Gov. Blanco to demand justice for these boys" or "Did you sign the petition?" or "Did you hand out flyers?" or "Did you give money?" or "Did you spread the word and educate others?"...but to set the bar so low as to think that one need only wear an article of clothing to seek racial equality, that my friends, is the true injustice.
