cube root x=x^1/3
x^1/3 * x^1/3
=x^(1/3+1/3)
=x^2/3
However,sqrt x*sqrt x is equal to x and
cube root x* cube rootx*cube rootx=x

No. The whole idea of the cube root is that you need to cube it to get back to x - i.e. cuberoot(x) * cuberoot(x) * cuberoot(x) = x.

nope.

cuberoot(x) * cuberoot(x) * cuberoot(x)
would be equal to x.
