I know this is probably a stupid question but I had sex the 3 of September and and I had a standing doctors appointment today which included a pap smear, would she be able to tell i was pregnant by that?

pap smears aren't pregnancy tests, they test for abnormal cells that could indicate cancer. pregnancy tests are required to tell if you are pregnant and even if you are pregnant now it would not show up on a test.

It's not a stupid question, you are probably real anxious. It is pretty early, however a Dr. can tell if the cervix feels softer, which may be an early indicator of pregnancy. Sounds crazy, but my Doc said that to me the first visit after we were "trying" Music to my ears!! However I was already pregnant for a little less than a month give or take! Hang in there and treat your body as if you are already pregnant

ok first off, the only stupid questions are the ones you dont ask. secondly the dr cannot tell if you are pregnant by a pap smear, not to mention it would still be a little too early to tell even if they could.

By a pap-smear? No. You'd need a test. A blood test could tell at this point, though.

Just take a pregnancy test and find out or get a blood test done. I doubt they use pap smears to determine pregnancies.

It's not a stupid question. The answer is no, though. The doctor can't tell if you are pregnant that early on without a urine or blood test specifically looking for the pregnancy hormone hcg.
