This question is from my daughter...
she asked us this morning: What is the "wrong mind"?
And I said, I'm not sure, and she replied
"People are always saying 'no one in their RIGHT mind would do that / say that / be that etc' "

waht are you thoughts?

Do you have a hidden camera in my house? I haven't been in my "right mind" for a few weeks. I started out with what I thought was a cold, which I am blessed to have only every other year or so. Granted, they are usually whoppers, but I seem to have a good immunity system. I got so run down and weak, I went to my doctor who was upset that I did not continue with a cardiologist some years ago when I had a mild heart attack. I actually managed to forget sometimes that I had one. (Denial, ya' think?) I had changed my diet, I work with horses which helps keep me in shape, but I could not bear to think about what would happen to my granddaughter and my mother if something happened to me. Wow, I am just so critical to God's plan for them! That is called having a "wrong mind." I changed my will, I changed the executor to someone younger. In short, I have been an idiot and let fear rule. No one in their "right mind" would reacted as I have. I am now following through with the pesty tests and will be a better patient. I came to realize today that I am not all that critical to God's plan, He is critical to mine. I think I am getting my "mind right." I will do what I can and leave the rest to Him.

I think it means your judgment is clouded by the emotion of the moment. Or possibly by mind-altering substances, such as Yahoo Answers(*).

(*) Yahoo Answers still legal in 28 states. Ask your doctor before beginning a Yahoo Answers regiment. Side-effects may include drowsiness, an ability to get work done, and poor spelling and grammar.

LOL, what a tresaure of a kid. Just tell her that if she's NOT in her right mind then she's either in her wrong mind or her LEFT mind and just watch the little wheels start to turn on that one. LOL

Your daughter has made a mistake: the term is not meant to indicate wholeness of mind, but rather political conscience. When the term is used, "No one in their right mind would do that", it is obviously showing that someone of right-wing sympathies is acting true to that brand of politic; that is to say, irrationally.

It is the left-wing mind that has the prerogative of rationality. ;)

Once my daughter asked me "Mommy, what is one berculosis" and then a few months later after we completed a first aid class (she was 5 or 6) she asked " Mommy when are we going to do second aid?"
I love those little childisms, Yogi Berra capitalized on them.

Isn't it cool how kids make us really think about things? Let's see.. I would say that the "wrong" mind would be a state of mind in which you are not thinking clearly and perhaps make irrational decisions. In other words, if you are in your "wrong" mind, you're a whack job! :o)

I think I'm stumped this time...what grade did you say she was in?...send her to "time out," until she can come up with some easier questions.

It is when you are in a state where you are out of balance. I am not talking crazy here but when your spirit is out of balance. Illness is being un balanced physically. You see what I am driving at??
