The doctor will have seen plenty of vulvas with and without hair - do whatever makes YOU comfortable.

But if you do decide you want to remove some hair, I'd strongly suggest you start off trimming. It's easier and a lot less likely to result in itchy red bumps (which your doctor would likely recognize instantly as a shaving rash, but would likely make you uncomfortable both physically and to be seen).

Since shaving etc can cause irritation it's better not to before you go - the irritation might hide other problems. Trimming is fine, but honestly, the doctor doesn't care. They've seen them every different way, and I bet many will have been a lot nastier than anything you have.

There is no need to trim or shave. If you want to trim, do for your own sake. I don't recommend shaving at all, you don't want the doctor to have to worry that razor rash is something else.
My sister is an OBgyn and she said that if ladies were only going to pick one area to clean before they came in......she wished it was their FEET! lol.

It doesnt really matter, they wont judge you either way. Its up to what you feel comfortable with doing. Theyve seen millions of them and yours will be no different!
Good Luck

You can if you want to, personal preference and they won't even blink twice about it.
