Go to the mall, a big one. Shop til you drop, even if you don't spend anything. Get your hair done, Get a manicure and a pedicure. Maybe a new pair of sandals to show off the toes. Go to the beach. Go to six flags. Have a coke with your friends. Enjoy being 17, you'll never pass this way again. Town Center Mall would be a good starting place, but Arbor Place might work also, except they have an age 18 curfew at that one, so you'd have to drag along a parent.

When I find myself feeling blue I look toward my favorite song. The one I call my own personal therapy. It is "Lose Yourself" by Eminem. I know it isn't the most lyrical song but I do what it says...I lose myself in the moment and think about the things that make me happy. I know life is tough but I also know that it can and will be better if you only choose to allow it to. I can sense that you are hurting deep inside your heart and mind. I want you to know that there are people who care, such as myself and if you need someone to talk to I am here. Feel free to contact me at pllbrn@yahoo.com anytime.

Listen to music, go for a walk, talk to a friend if you don't want to be alone, go to one of those health spas and get a massage--trust me, you'll feel a lot better after walking out!

I sometimes have a cry, and then do something fun, or take a walk--that kind of thing. Sometimes a good book can cheer me up, too.
